MEN AT WORK IN DUBLIN

Ireland certainly has changed.
At 12:30 I went to lunch at The Brasil Restaurant (off George’s Street) and when I left at 1:30 this crew had completed the roadworks … ten years ago it would have taken a week to undertake the task.
Day one they would arrive and spend all day erecting a workman,s hut,
day 2 they would devote to playing cards,
day three a supervisor would arrive to explain what needs to be done,
day four (between tea breaks) they would repair the road,
day 5 they would dismantle the hut and go home at noon.
